The Memories feature in AlmmaGPT is one of the most powerful ways to personalize and enhance your AI interactions. It enables AlmmaGPT to remember key details you provide, so you don’t have to repeat them every time. Think of it as your AI’s “long-term memory,” where you can store preferences, facts, context, or any custom data that you want the AI to recall across conversations.
Whether you’re building a custom AI Agent, working on long-term projects, or want AlmmaGPT to “know” you better, Memories make your work smoother and more efficient.
What Are Memories?
Memories in AlmmaGPT are key–value pairs that store information persistently.
- Key: The label or name for the piece of information (e.g., favorite_color, project_name).
- Value: The actual data or detail tied to that key (e.g., blue, Marketing Automation Platform).
Once saved, AlmmaGPT can use these memories to provide more relevant and personalized responses.
How to Use Memories
You’ll find the Memories section in AlmmaGPT’s menu bar.
Step 1: Open the Memories Panel
- Look for the Memories icon in the side menu (a small database symbol).
- Click it to open the Memories Panel.

Here you will see:
- Search field to filter your existing memories.
- Use the memory toggle to enable or disable memory recall during sessions.
- The Create Memory button is used to add new entries.
Step 2: Create a New Memory
- Click on + Create Memory.
You will see a pop-up like this:- Key: Enter your memory label (e.g., client_deadline_date).
- Value: Enter the detail you want stored (e.g., March 15, 2025)

Once both fields are filled, click Create.
Your entry will be added to the Memory list.
Step 3: Use Memories in Conversations
When Use memory is toggled on:
- AlmmaGPT will automatically reference saved Keys and Values during your interactions.
- You can mention a memory Key in conversation, and the AI will recall its Value instantly.
💡 Example: If you’ve saved:
- Key = favorite_color
- Value = blue
You could ask:
“What’s my favorite color?” AlmmaGPT will respond: “Your favorite color is blue.”
Step 4: Manage Your Memories
- Filter: Use the search bar to locate specific memories quickly.
- Edit or Delete: Use the actions menu next to each memory to update or remove information.
- Toggle Off: To temporarily “forget” all saved context, simply switch Use memory to off. This won’t delete data — it just disables recall for that session.
Best Practices for Using Memories
- Use clear, unique keys: Avoid vague names. Instead of ‘note1‘, use ‘project_pitch_date‘
- Keep values updated: Outdated info can lead to wrong responses.
- Organize for workflows: Store recurring data, such as favorite URLs, frameworks, procedures, or key facts, for your tasks.
Why It Matters
The Memory feature turns AlmmaGPT into a true personalized assistant. For professionals, it’s invaluable, enabling persistent brand voice, recurring client info, or long-term project context. For casual use, it makes conversations feel more natural, as the AI “remembers” who you are and what you’ve told it before.
